Sabastian Mwaluko in a graduation gown for his bachelors degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, Chuka university held on 24th, November 2023 Meet Sabastian Mwaluko, a resilient 25-year-old hailing from Mtito-Andei ward, whose life story serves as a testament to the indomitable human spirit. Sabastian defied all odds to earn a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Chuka University, a feat made even more remarkable considering his challenging beginnings. Born into poverty and a victim of parental divorce during his early childhood, Sabastian faced hardships that could have easily derailed his dreams. As the sixth born in a family of seven children, he, along with his siblings and mother, experienced rejection from their extended family, forcing them to seek refuge with his maternal grandmother. In the heart of Makueni County, beneath the azure sky, Yumbuni Village came alive on Saturday, 14th October 2023, as the echoes of traditional music and the aroma of Kamba delicacies filled the air. This spectacular cultural event, hosted by the Chyulu Development Foundation in collaboration with the County Government of Makueni, KWS, Tsavo Trust, Radio Mang'elete, Konza Tecnopolis, and Imara Foundation, painted a vivid picture of the rich heritage of the Kamba community.
